We are looking for a responsible Assistant Manager to help organize and run our retail stores and fill in for the Store Manager when needed. Your job will be highly important in ensuring the sales team meets its goals of efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Assistant Manager responsibilities include:
Hiring and training sales associates
Monitoring inventory and ordering merchandise based on demand
Researching competitive products and analyzing consumer behavior to ensure our store meets and exceeds client expectations
Assisting the Retail Store Manager in planning and implementing strategies to attract customers
Coordinating daily customer service operations (e.g., sales processes, orders, and payments)
Tracking the progress of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual objectives
Monitoring and maintaining store inventory
Evaluating employee performance and identifying hiring and training needs
Supervising and motivating staff to perform their best
Coaching and supporting new and existing Sales Associates
Monitoring retail operating costs, budgets, and resources
Suggesting sales training programs and techniques
Communicating with clients and evaluating their needs
Analyzing consumer behavior and adjusting product positioning
Handling complaints from customers
Researching emerging products and using information to update the store’s merchandise
Creating reports, analyzing, and interpreting retail data like revenues, expenses, and competition
Conducting regular audits to ensure the store is functional and presentable
Making sure all employees adhere to company policies and guidelines
Acting as our store’s representative and setting an example for our staff
