Assistant Resident Engineer - Marine Dubai

Job Description

1. Having good experience in marine works supervision especially with groynes and beaches.
2. Be familiar with the projects detailed drawings specifications and health and safety measures together with any associated updates.
3. Ensure the contractor/s compliance with the standards and specifications of the contract documents.
4. Maintain records of the contractor human and equipment daily resources.
5. Undertake all site supervision and inspections when required or instructed by the Resident Engineer (RE).
6. Liaise and daily follow up with the contractor to ensure the contractor is managing its resources, health and safety, and equipment needs on the site.
7. Prepare daily report to the RE, including works orders, materials delivery, and daily inspections program.
8. Follow up and implement any site instructions made by the RE.
9. Apply and implement all quality controls and quality procedures of the site.
10. Prepare any site measurements and surveying checks needed by the RE for pipes alignments and levels.
11. Coordinate and cooperate with client project manager during their site inspections in the presence of the RE or ARE.
12. Assist the RE in the preparation of any correspondences in compliance with the contract documents and site requirements.
13. Work with the RE to resolve any site problems found promptly.
14. Monitor the startup, commissioning, and handover of the site works, including maintaining records of the project milestones.
15. Maintain records of materials tests performed and executed works.
16. Audit inspections for conformity to contract documents and contractor submitted plans.

Qualifications :

Bachelor's Degree in Marine or a related field.
