Assistant Resident Engineer

The Assistant Resident Engineer supports the on-site construction management team in coordinating and overseeing construction projects. They collaborate with engineers, designers, and contractors to ensure projects are executed according to specifications, budget, and timeline. The Assistant Resident Engineer assists in monitoring construction progress, conducting inspections, and resolving technical issues that may arise. They must have a solid understanding of construction practices, project management, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

1. Collaborate with the resident engineer to plan and manage construction activities.
2. Assist in overseeing contractors' work to ensure compliance with project specifications.
3. Conduct regular inspections to monitor construction progress and quality of work.
4. Manage documentation, including project reports, specifications, and change orders.
5. Identify and resolve technical issues and design conflicts that may arise during construction.
6. Coordinate with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to address project requirements.
7. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
8. Communicate effectively with the construction team to provide clear instructions and updates.

Minimum Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field.
2. Previous experience in construction management or a similar role is preferred.
