Job description

To plan and implement quality control procedures within manufacturing operations, in line with organizational policies, standards and guidelines.

To ensure overall quality control of processes and products in line with regulatory and corporate standards.

Job Responsibilities:

Team Management:

  • Organize and supervise the activities and work of subordinates (Quality control supervisors, Microbiologists, Quality control assistants and Quality control casuals) to ensure that all work within the specific area of quality control and inspection is carried out in an efficient manner which is consistent with operating procedures and policy.
  • Regular coaching and 1-1 meetings with documented evidence, no defined frequency.
  • Performance Management process for the team members shall be handled effectively whilst setting up clear smart objectives and targets in line with the organization's vision.

Finished Goods Releases:

  • Ensure proper inspection for in-process and finished goods, and segregate nonconforming products in order to ensure that all products released are of the required standards.
  • Releasing good, finished products through SAP system.
  • Hold finished goods analysis and disposition.
  • Handle customer complaints as per company customer response program.
  • Study/analyze customer complaints in order to initiate the corresponding corrective and preventive action.
  • Product recall coordination in case of recall situation arises.
  • Customer visits for complaints analysis as necessary.

Budget and Cost Control:

  • Contribute to the preparation of the Quality budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget.
  • Identify and facilitate cost improvement opportunities in the Quality department.
  • Maintain Quality lab and Microbiological lab inventory as per requirement.
  • Assemble cost control and statistical data, as needed, in order to support quality objectives.

Desired Candidate Profile:

Education Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Food Technology, Microbiology, or related discipline.

Experience: Min. 5-6 years of work experience in a Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) company.

Knowledge: Quality Control/Microbiology/Analytical Chemistry in a food, beverage, or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

Good Manufacturing Practice:

  • Cleaning-in-Place (CIP) and Sanitation Procedure HACCP or Food Safety Program.
  • Statistical Process Control.

Skills:

  • Written and oral communication.
  • Analytical with attention to detail.
  • Self-starter with a high level of initiative and motivation. Productivity and efficiency.
  • Office environment computer software application knowledge.
