Job Summary:

Holiday Inn & Suites Dubai Science Park is looking for a passionate Assistant Procurement Manager to join their extraordinary team. Ideally located in the heart of Dubai Science Park, the hotel has 240 hotel rooms and suites and 84 one-bedroom apartments, along with extensive meeting and events facilities.

Requirements:

• At least 2 years purchasing management experience in a 4 or 5 star hotel.
• Strong knowledge of local businesses and business trends.
• Excellent English communication skills and well-versed in hotel systems.

Responsibilities:

• Developing and implementing purchasing strategies.
• Managing daily purchasing activities and allocating tasks.
• Managing supplier relations and negotiating contracts, prices, timelines, etc.
• Maintaining the supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation.
• Coordinating with inventory control to determine and manage inventory needs.
• Managing the maintenance of office/manufacturing equipment and machinery.
• Ensuring that all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications.
• Working to improve purchasing systems and processes.
• Translating operating forecasts into material requirement plans and determining standard stock and reorder levels with Department Heads and Management.
