OUR EXPECTATIONS FROM THE ROLE:

• Oversee the scheduling of Pilates group classes to optimize convenience for our guests and clients.
• Ensure that the team of instructors delivers classes that meet the quality standards of JW Marriott Marquis Hotel and the Body Base Formula.
• Conduct periodic performance evaluations of the classes.
• Hold Team Meetings.
• Ensure that you are always courteous and friendly to guests, attentive to their needs and queries, handle problems in a professional manner, and are conscious of the importance of safety.
• Keep club/studio in good maintenance.
• Enforce all club rules and ensure a safe environment for all guests/clients using the club facilities.
• Be aware of Gym Health & Pool safety regulations.
• Ensure Gym/Studio is clean according to JW Marriott standards, supervising the team.
• Report all engineering faults and follow up on them.
• Ensure all checklists are completed and monitored.
• Train and develop your team.
• Check the whole club and ensure standards.
• Train all new team members.
• Understand and activate club activities.
• Work closely with the supplier of our consignment/retail products.
• Deputize for the Director of Recreation & Lifestyle.
• Supervise associates within the department.
• Carry out appraisals and 1:1s.
• Handle and complete all new staff inductions and orientation.
• Ensure that all PRs are done monthly as per budgeted figures and follow up on all purchases.
• Carry out brand standards checks.
• Any other relevant tasks.
