Assistant Officer - Facility Management

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Officer – Facilities to support the day-to-day inspection and coordination of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems, including medical gas infrastructure. This role plays a key part in ensuring the safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operation of critical systems across our healthcare facility.

Responsibilities

1. Oversee and supervise maintenance activities in designated areas.
2. Coordinate with supervisors and outsourced FM contractors to ensure timely task completion.
3. Ensure safety protocols and regulations are strictly followed at all work sites.
4. Monitor ongoing maintenance tasks, ensuring quality and compliance.
5. Maintain accurate equipment logs, checklists, and system readings.
6. Review and verify asset data and as-built drawings for accuracy.
7. Support emergency maintenance works and system troubleshooting.
8. Conduct daily site visits to assess and ensure maintenance quality.
9. Stay updated on developments in MEP and facilities systems through regular learning.
10. Provide reports and updates to supervisors as required.

1. Bachelor in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
2. Experience in facility management, particularly in a healthcare setting.
3. Good understanding of MEP systems, medical gas systems, and maintenance processes.
4. Strong coordination and communication skills.
5. Ability to supervise outsourced teams and ensure work quality.
6. Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
7. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
