Job Description

We are currently seeking passionate and dynamic Materials professionals who pride themselves on their ability to deliver extraordinary levels of customer service and provide creative solutions to our guests.

As an Assistant Materials Manager, you are responsible for the day-to-day operation in the absence of the Materials Manager, providing essential supervision, administrative assistance, and maintaining full and adequate purchase/stock requirements of the hotel. Your role will include key responsibilities such as:

  1. Coordinate and ensure a smooth process of purchase requests allocated by the Materials Manager to all buyers including yourself.
  2. Ensure that set policies and procedures (quotation, documentation, specification, and explanation) are being followed and practiced.
  3. Ensure availability of storeroom stocks at all times according to set levels.
  4. Verify that the daily market list is delivered and question discrepancies and delays.
  5. Constantly verify all system updates concerning data stock items, regarding name, packing, weight, and units.
  6. Coordinate with the Head Storekeeper by reviewing periodically the established min/max storeroom stock levels for update requirements.
  7. Print the weekly Order Pending Report to follow up and verify approved requests and items not delivered according to the specified vendor's delivery dates.

Skills

Education, Qualifications & Experiences

You should ideally have a bachelor’s degree with previous experience in Materials within a multinational group. Command of an international computer purchasing system software and previous Middle East experience are essential. Good command of written and spoken English is a must; knowledge of Arabic language is an added benefit.
