POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting directly to the Director of Marketing, the Assistant Marketing Manager is responsible for assisting on Marketing and PR related initiatives, overlooking and executing Social Media requirements, and updating and maintaining digital channels. The role includes handling influencer requests, covering social events on social media, and managing multiple projects while coordinating with internal teams and external clients.

Must understand and comply with the policies and procedures of Marriott International.

Assisting and implementing the Marketing and PR Strategy is within their scope of work as well as handling day-to-day requests. The Assistant Marketing Manager also works closely with the appointed PR agency ensuring efficient communication processes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Confident in English copywriting; Arabic is preferred.
  2. Create content for social media calendar.
  3. Work with partners to maximize hotel positioning.
  4. Respond to media inquiries for The St Regis Abu Dhabi.
  5. Develop and maintain strong relations with the media community.
  6. Assist in coordination of incoming media visits.
  7. Overlook review sites to report on sentiments regarding the St Regis Abu Dhabi.
  8. Ensure all deadlines are met and each edition is delivered on time.
  9. Identify opportunities to execute value-added mailings in line with the hotel’s revenue objectives.
  10. Work with the DFM team for online advertising, SEM, SEO, social media, email marketing, and website content development.
  11. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  12. Sound computer skills including proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop, Canva, and CapCut.
  13. Review third-party websites to ensure accurate information about the St Regis Abu Dhabi.
  14. Display professionalism and a positive attitude.
  15. Ability to work under pressure and adjust to flexible working hours.
  16. Share monthly insights on production, trends, and channel analysis.
  17. Motivate associates to embrace Social Media.
  18. Assist in cross-training and onboarding sessions.

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS

  1. Supervision of administrative systems, including project costs and PR contacts database.
  2. Producing monthly activity reports.
  3. Involvement in marketing projects.
  4. Community Service Involvement and Associate Recognition.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor’s degree required; additional education in sales and marketing preferred.

Experience: At least 2-3 years as a Marketing Executive/Specialist or 1 year as Assistant Marketing Manager; supervisory experience preferred.
