Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Manager Purchase specializing in Aftermarket Truck Parts. The role involves managing the procurement process, building strong supplier relationships, ensuring cost efficiency, and maintaining the quality and availability of truck parts to meet business requirements.

Desired Candidate Profile

Educational Qualifications & Certifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field.

Requirements

  1. Strong analytical skills, exceptional negotiation abilities, and MS EXCEL FORMULAS.
  2. Strong sales and negotiation skills, and excellent communication abilities.
  3. Knowledge of truck parts and the automotive industry is highly desirable.
  4. Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  5. Proactive approach to identifying and resolving procurement challenges.

Years of Experience

5-8 years of experience in purchasing or procurement within the Truck Parts business.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement Management:

  1. Oversee the end-to-end purchase process for truck parts, including vendor selection, negotiation, and contract finalization.
  2. Ensure timely procurement of parts to avoid stock shortages or delays.
  3. Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers to expand the vendor base.
  4. Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing suppliers for reliable and quality supply.

Cost & Quality Optimization:

  1. Negotiate pricing and payment terms with suppliers to achieve cost efficiencies.
  2. Monitor and ensure the quality of procured truck parts meets company standards.

Inventory Coordination:

  1. Work closely with inventory and warehouse teams to maintain optimal stock levels.
  2. Plan purchases based on forecasted demand and inventory turnover.

Market & Industry Analysis:

  1. Stay updated on market trends, price fluctuations, and new products in the truck parts industry.
  2. Conduct competitive analysis to ensure the best sourcing strategies.

Compliance & Documentation:

  1. Ensure all purchase orders, contracts, and supplier agreements comply with company policies and legal requirements.
  2. Maintain accurate records of procurement activities for audit and reporting purposes.
