The ideal candidate will be positively spirited, passionate about F&B, and committed to working together with both the front of house and back of house team to continuously deliver an outstanding guest experience.

Role: Assistant HR Manager

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION AND BASIC DUTIES

  1. Maintains the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.
  2. Perform administrative duties, such as maintaining employee database and sorting emails for the HR department.
  3. Maintain proper records of employee data base, leaves and attendance for payroll processing.
  4. Policy formulation, hiring and salary administration.
  5. Submit online job postings, shortlist candidates, schedule job interviews and conduct initial interviews.
  6. Prepare Offer letters and ensure that it is in line with the company approved manning.
  7. Coordinate with the hired employees with their documents for employment visa processing.
  8. Conduct orientation sessions for the newly hired employees.
  9. Process the medical and group life insurance of employees, addition and deletion.
  10. Ensure the mandatory trainings of the staff to the government such as Basic Hygiene Safety, PIC, OHC, Essential Food and Safety.
  11. Maintain and track employees due for visa renewals to coordinate with management and staff before starting the process with the PRO for the visa processing.
  12. Investigate and resolve employee conflicts that affect the operations or individuals in the company by issuing warning letters, suspension, and others.
  13. Conduct exit formalities of the staff ensuring their benefits, work experience letter and cancellation is received within the timeframe.
  14. Assist with employee disputes and performance reviews as and when required.
  15. Ensure smooth communication with employees and timely resolution to their queries.
  16. Work closely with PRO to ensure the visas, government related, and licenses are being followed and maintained.
  17. Provide timely and periodic communication on HR related matters to the management and staff.

SPECIAL JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  1. Hands-on experience in UAE Labor Law.
  2. The ability to research and analyze various different types of data information.
  3. Ability to deliver the work efficiently and effectively.
  4. Ability to organize and prioritize work.
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  6. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and any other HR software.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

  1. Educational background: at least completion of Secondary Education.
  2. Excellent networking and interpersonal skills.
  3. Good influencing skills.
  4. Initiative and ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
  5. Must have at least 5 years’ experience in a similar job with strong experience in HR.
