Job description

Job purpose

Lead the business support team in monitoring and appropriate distribution of all airline documentation related to pricing, menus, menu albums, flight schedules, airline customer memos, notices, and any other via specific templates as provided by customers, or access and upload prices to airline customer’s portals.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead and monitor the performance of the Commercial and Services Business Support team by providing coaching, direction and on the job training to ensure all tasks are carried out accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with the business and ensure to accurately capture and incorporate all final approved changes pertaining to airline customer menus. Manage the controlled and timely distribution of all broadcasts to ensure internal stakeholders are aligned and continuity of business. Broadcast includes all customers’ menus new or updates, change notices, operations manuals & SOPs, memos, flight schedules or cancellations and any other document or service updates applicable to the customers’ flights and services for seamless operations.
  • Disseminates airline documentations to internal stakeholders for records and document reference or for uplift to flights; such documents include menus specification, loading ratios, photo albums (internal) and crew briefing or plating guides (customer flights), ensuring accurate and accessible information.
  • Coordinate with internal departments on required changes to menus, loading scales for accurate ERP system updates ensuring correct supply to airline customers and accurate billing. Liaise with locally based Airline Catering representatives as delegated in respect of flight schedules, meal uplifts, including identifying discrepancies and raising queries, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Ensures the timely and accurate submission of prices to airline customers received from EKFC’s Pricing Department via the suitable platform of prices submission as designated by the airline customer which includes but is not limited to airline specific pricing sheets, airline customer pricing and billing portals. Updates information include EKFC’s information such as caterer codes, prices and descriptions, photo of dish, etc, thereby ensuring accuracy of data and prices submitted to customer for seamless billing and payment to EKFC. Prices submitted include RFP (Request for Proposal)/RFQ (Request for Quotation), tenders, menu changes, new menu launches, and revised service/handling charges, with validation that submissions are approved in airline portals for smooth operations.
  • Validate airline customer performance data in collaboration with IT Department to ensure correct information is reflected on the Business Intelligence Dashboards, enabling accurate analysis and informed decision-making.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to consolidate Annual Capital Expenditure Budget requirements and prepare summary for timely budget approval. Build the estimated flight operations and meal counts projected under the guidance of AVP – Commercial – Airlines based on airline customers’ operations.
  • Prepare project reports, feasibility studies, statistical reports and presentations to the Airline Catering Management as and when required to evaluate commercial, performance and operational aspects of business and AVP – Commercial – Airlines’ negotiations with customers
  • Oversee proper maintenance of the central filing system for all Airline and Airport Catering Division related historical information and files such as agreements, correspondence, prices and menus for timely retrieval of information and audit compliance

Education Qualification:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline or an equivalent qualification.
  • Candidates with Finance background will have an advantage

Work Experience:

6 years of work experience in Airlines (inflight catering), International Business or Business Support

Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • High level of proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce
  • Self-motivated with the ability and initiative to achieve results individually and as part of a team
  • Ability and commitment in delivering to strict deadlines without compromising quality
  • A natural aptitude for mathematics and statistics
  • Ability to think analytically, critically and logically
  • Attention to detail-oriented with zero error
  • Knowledge of inflight / catering services, menu development process is an added advantage
  • Customer-centric attitude
