Records and logs all meter readings daily and reports irregularities to the Maintenance Manager.
Regularly inspects plant rooms and guest areas to identify problems and liaises with contractors as required.
Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, ensures hotel water systems are properly treated.
Maintains maintenance logs and records.
Ensures the effective operation of all mechanical and electrical systems and equipment by managing a preventative maintenance program.
Ensures the effective financial management of the engineering department by adhering to maintenance budgets, capital works programs, and engineering plans.
Should be familiar with energy consumption calculations and savings.
Oversees building aspects of the hotel as well as the maintenance of grounds and external facilities.
Contributes to guest satisfaction standards by ensuring that technical support services quickly address and, where possible, anticipate individual needs.
Ensures technically competent engineering staff are part of the team by selecting, training, and developing a motivated, well-qualified maintenance team.
Orders day-to-day maintenance purchases in accordance with SBC purchasing policy.
Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, ensures the departmental training plan is implemented.
Attends seminars and training courses to further education as necessary.
Responsible for the multiple beach properties (SBC, Soul & Kai), ensuring operational excellence and consistent service quality across all locations.
