We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Assistant IT Manager to join our IT team. The Assistant IT Manager will support the IT Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the IT department, ensuring the effective functioning of IT systems and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities:
Assist in managing the daily operations of the IT department.
Ensure the stability and performance of the company’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and applications.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
Provide guidance and support to IT staff, helping to prioritize tasks and projects.
Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
Assist in training and mentoring junior IT staff.
Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing IT projects.
Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
Communicate project progress and status to stakeholders.
Schedule and perform regular maintenance, updates, and upgrades to IT systems.
Ensure all systems are secure and up to date with the latest patches and updates.
Manage backups and disaster recovery processes.
Provide technical support to employees, resolving hardware and software issues.
Develop and maintain user manuals and IT documentation.
Conduct training sessions to improve employee proficiency with IT systems.
Work with external vendors to procure IT equipment and services.
Evaluate and manage vendor performance and contracts.
Implement and enforce IT security policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
Conduct regular security audits and assessments.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft) are a plus.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT management or a similar role.
Proven experience with network and server management, IT security, and user support.
Strong technical skills in IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and applications.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
