• Collaborate with clients to understand event requirements and preferences
• Assist in planning and organizing food and beverage events, considering budget constraints
• Coordinate with various departments across the Hotel to ensure seamless execution of the events
• Manage and supervise event staff, ensuring proper training and performance
• Oversee catering logistics, including menu selection, food presentation, and service quality
• Monitor and control event budgets, expenses, and revenue goals
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during events
• Address and resolve issues or concerns that may arise during events
• Maintain relationships with vendors and take part in purchasing negotiations of contracts for services
• Implement and uphold quality standards for food and beverage offerings
• Stay updated on industry trends and suggest innovative ideas for events
• Provide exceptional guest service to enhance overall guest satisfaction
• Prepare post-event reports and analyze performance for future improvements
• Contribute to marketing efforts to promote food and beverage events
• Stay informed about emerging trends in the food and hospitality industry
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• College Degree in Business, Hospitality, or Related field preferred
• One to two years in a public contact position, preferably in an upscale or lifestyle brand hotel
• Enter and locate work related information using computers and/or point of sale systems
• Possess a gracious, friendly, and fun demeanor
• Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment and have a high-level attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
• Maintain positive and productive working relationships with other employees and departments
• Ability to work independently and to partner with others to promote an environment of teamwork
• Must have knowledge of Food and Beverage preparation techniques, health department rules and regulations, liquor laws and regulations on bar operation
