Assistant Fire Instructor - Emirati Talent

Job Purpose

The Assistant Fire Instructor will support the fire training programs and personally conduct some of the training while assisting the Fire Instructor in carrying out the required fire and emergency response trainings.

Principal Accountabilities

1. Support delivery of both theoretical (classroom) and field-based training in a safe environment.
2. Demonstrate good class control and safety supervision.
3. Prepare and follow a creative lesson plan in conjunction with the instructor for each class.
4. Ensure fire ground and simulators are prepared, operated, and maintained in a safe, effective, and efficient manner.
5. Support Fire Training Instructors in carrying out their duties and ensure the safety of training attendees through preparation and maintenance of fire training facilities and equipment.
6. Carry out daily inspections and maintenance of fire training equipment.
7. Identify equipment, materials, and resources required; maintain Fire Training Centre records and prepare reports.
8. Ensure ENOC HSE rules, regulations, policies, and procedures are enforced.
9. Motivate, monitor, and maintain discipline of course attendees.
10. Maintain training records, including records of attendance, reports, inspections, certifications, and filing course rosters.
11. Deliver basic fire training courses.
12. Guide and supervise the technician in maintaining all firefighting equipment.

Experience

1. Professional and vocational qualifications or equivalent.
2. Certified in firefighting training or a diploma as a fire trainer or equivalent.
3. Minimum 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
4. Computer literacy and good knowledge in MS Office; efficient administration skills.
5. Very good communication and interpersonal skills.
