Prepare and post financial accounting entries, recharges, reports and other relevant reconciliations on a periodic basis and assist with month-ends;
Assist in coordination and preparation of various returns, including financial statements and tax returns, for a number of legal entities, under the supervision and guidance;
Preparation of statutory compliance returns, including ICV and Local Content certifications;
Preparation of monthly and quarterly VAT and WHT returns for assigned statutory entities;
Preparation of periodical reports and reconciliations to be submitted to the business;
Supporting the Finance team on ad-hoc initiatives and analysis;
Ensuring compliance with Finance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs);
Assisting the wider Finance team with internal and external audits;
Develop strong working relationships with team members and other key stakeholders;
Seek opportunities to learn new skills and aspire to develop within the team.
Technical Competencies Essential
A recognised degree in finance, accounting or related subjects;
0-2 years’ experience within a finance/accounting environment;
Competent accountant with good understanding of double entry and best practices;
Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel;
Excellent communication in English (both written and oral).
Experience of working within a multi-cultural environment;
Ability to develop strong working relationships and communicate effectively at all levels.
Desirable
Some Big 4 experience as an assistant/associate or above (PwC/EY/KPMG/Deloitte);
Working knowledge of JD Edwards, Hyperion Finance Management (HFM), Smart View or other information systems and databases;
