Job Summary:

The Assistant Finance Manager will support the Finance Manager in managing the financial operations of the company, with a particular focus on the freight forwarding segment. This role involves financial planning, analysis, reporting, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience in the logistics or freight forwarding industry.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Planning and Analysis:
   • Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
   • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
   • Support the development and implementation of financial strategies.
2. Accounting and Reporting:
   • Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
   • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
   • Assist in the preparation of management reports and presentations.
3. Cost Management:
   • Monitor and analyze cost structures and profitability of the freight forwarding operations.
   • Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend cost control measures.
4. Compliance and Audit:
   • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and accounting standards.
   • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
5. Cash Flow Management:
   • Assist in managing cash flow, including forecasting and liquidity planning.
   • Monitor accounts receivable and payable to ensure timely collections and payments.
6. Process Improvement:
   • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
   • Participate in financial systems upgrades and implementations.
7. Team Collaboration:
   • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
   • Assist in training and mentoring junior finance team members.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. A professional qualification such as CPA, CMA, or ACCA is a must.
• Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in finance, with at least 2 years in the logistics or freight forwarding industry.
