The Assistant Finance Controller will oversee financial planning, reporting, and compliance for a dynamic hospitality group with multiple revenue streams. This role ensures financial accuracy, budget control, and strategic financial guidance to support operational efficiency and business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management & Reporting: Assist in preparing financial statements, P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial closings.
Analyze financial data to optimize profitability and cost control.
Prepare variance analysis reports, highlighting key business insights.
Ensure compliance with IFRS/GAAP and local tax regulations.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Support in developing annual budgets and rolling forecasts for all venues.
Monitor budget adherence and provide recommendations for cost control. Identify financial risks and opportunities for revenue maximization.
Internal Controls & Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Implement and monitor internal controls to prevent fraud and financial mismanagement. Coordinate with internal and external auditors for smooth audits.
Operational Support & Cost Control: Work closely with F&B, operations, and procurement teams to optimize spending.
Monitor inventory management and cost allocations for various revenue centers.
Oversee payroll processing and related financial reconciliations.
Financial Systems & Process Improvements: Maintain financial ERP systems and recommend improvements.
Automate reporting and financial processes for better efficiency.
Support digital transformation initiatives in finance.
Key Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, CMA, or ACCA preferred).
Experience: Minimum 5+ years in finance/accounting, with at least 3 years in hospitality (hotels, F&B, or multi-venue operations).
Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of financial software (SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar ERP).
Soft Skills: Analytical mindset, problem-solving abilities, leadership, and attention to detail.
