Job description

As an Assistant Events Manager, you play a pivotal role in achieving the company's marketing and events objectives. Collaborating closely with the Director of Sales & Director of Food & Beverage, your responsibilities include overseeing the daily sales efforts and maintaining operational standards, ensuring smooth coordination of events. Beyond events, you contribute to the development and execution of strategic marketing initiatives that align with regional goals. Your focus extends to maintaining a high standard of communication flow within the regional office, ensuring the success of all events organized by the department.


Key Job Responsibilities:
  1. Achieve monthly individual revenue target assigned by Director of Sales & Marketing.
  2. Manage activities of Banquets services in specific area i.e. MICE or Weddings or Outside Catering to maintain and improve productivity, quality, service, creativity, and guest satisfaction.
  3. Handles customer inquiries and is the point-of-contact for all event details.
  4. Participates in advising the targets of the annual budget for the various revenue generating outlets of Banquets.
  5. Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume and potential sales for Director of Sales & Marketing.
  6. Participate in daily business review meeting, pre-convention meetings and other sales-related meetings as required.
  7. Attend trade shows, community events and industry meetings.
  8. Develop/maintain knowledge of market trends, competition and customers.
  9. Responsible for all elements of event planning, including identifying event logistics and negotiating contracts.
