Assistant Culinary Photographer

Are you passionate about food photography and eager to bring mouthwatering dishes to life through the lens? We're looking for a creative and detail-oriented Assistant Food Photographer to support in capturing stunning culinary visuals!

Job Purpose: To ensure the consistent and high-quality visual representation of culinary standards by supporting the development, documentation, and maintenance of visual specifications. This role involves food photography, plating guide preparation, and report generation while ensuring adherence to established guidelines. The Assistant Culinary Photographer collaborates closely with team members to implement and uphold culinary standards across the department.

Key Result Areas:

1. Capture high-quality images of menu products aligned with customer-agreed specifications by adhering to guidelines during product reviews or meal presentations, ensuring accurate documentation of culinary standards.
2. Ensure professional food photography and visual merchandising imagery to enhance visual communication and maintain consistency across all deliverables.
3. Verify images with team members by checking ingredient accuracy and adherence to customer standards for passenger class, cabin, uplifts, and destinations, ensuring the delivery of reliable visuals.
4. Support the photography process by coordinating with Master Data and Specification teams to gather accurate product information, including item codes, bill of materials, and specifications from Production Chefs, ensuring all captured images accurately reflect culinary standards and operational updates.
5. Generate plating guides by referencing airline requirements and portals and distribute them to internal stakeholders to provide timely and precise information supporting smooth operations.
6. Distribute images captured during meal presentations to relevant sections, streamlining workflows and optimizing task execution across departments.
7. Support unique project needs by capturing specialized images and assisting in preparing related documentation, enhancing operational processes within the Culinary team.
8. Enhance food photography quality by performing high-resolution editing, color correction, and post-production adjustments to maintain consistency with brand standards.
9. Deliver high-quality food photography and videos, ensuring visual consistency in editing, color correction, and post-production, aligned with brand guidelines.

Knowledge, Skills & Minimum Experience:

Education Qualification:

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

Work Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a photography-related role, culinary or food photography background preferred.
• Experience with food photography is an added advantage.

Skills:

• Basic knowledge of photography equipment and software, branding and marketing.
• Basic understanding of visual design principles and standard digital design tools.
• Familiarity with web-development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Proficiency in photo editing software such as Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, or any other relevant programs.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain relationships with internal stakeholders.
