Job Description
Position Summary:
Responsible for the direction and performance of the Project PMC team for the construction management and other site services with respect to their assigned EPC Contract and to ensure the Services are performed in conformance with the project objectives and requirements. Manage, monitor, and control the EPC Contractor's construction team with respect to safety, cost, schedule, quality, and material control through to completion of the construction activities.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain an effective construction safety and security program.
- Assist the Project Director and the Project Manager in implementing and maintaining effective management, planning, and cost control systems.
- Advise the Project Director and the Project Manager of developments that may affect project HSE, costs, schedule, or quality.
- Monitor the Contractor's adherence to its approved construction schedule(s).
- Maintain a risk register and effective mitigation plans for potential risks to the construction phase of the Contract.
- Assist the Project Director and Project Manager in implementing and maintaining an effective quality control process.
- Be knowledgeable of EPC Contract terms and conditions and assist the Project Manager in administering the Contract in accordance with policies & procedures for the maximum benefit of the Company.
- Review the Contractor's construction staffing plans.
- Establish and maintain communications to ensure accurate and timely flow of information.
- Monitor Contractor construction progress and productivity and recommend corrective actions as required to maintain Project objectives.
- Provide regular progress reports on construction to the Project Manager for inclusion in the overall Contract progress reports.
- Participate in constructability reviews.
- Coordinate construction activities with the Engineering Manager to ensure that all required engineering documents are being expedited to meet construction requirements.
Qualifications
- B.Sc. in any engineering discipline or Construction Management or equivalent College degree or equivalent experience.
- 15 to 20 years of Construction experience.
- Relevant experience in Construction Management.
- Recognized industry experience and expertise.
- Demonstrated competency in understanding the engineering, procurement, and construction processes.
Additional Information
3 months prior to commencement of EPC Construction activities to completion of Construction.
