Reporting to the Chief Engineer, as an Assistant Chief Engineer, you will be in charge of all hotel maintenance concerns including daily maintenance checks and mechanical equipment repairs in order to provide a great guest and member experience. An Assistant Chief Engineer will also be required to oversee renovation projects and create emergency plans. Specifically, you will be responsible for accomplishing the following tasks with the highest standards:
Manage hotel maintenance issues
Conduct daily checks
Follow lift emergency procedures and rules
Repair mechanical equipment
Foster positive customer relationships
Maintain safe hotel fixtures and fittings
Respond to any unsafe situations
Conduct routine inspections of the entire building including mechanical areas
Supervise the implementation of all maintenance contracts
Carry out fire brigade duties as required
Initiate energy and water conservation plans as per Accor's environmental charter
Respond quickly to guest requests/complaints ensuring courteous professional service
Ensure that health, hygiene, and safety regulations are complied with and applied in the hotel in compliance with HACCP standards and procedures set by the Dubai Municipality
Direct, control, coordinate, and participate in all Engineering activities
Qualifications:
Graduate Engineer in the discipline of Electrical/Mechanical
At least 7 years of overall operating experience in the MEP engineering department
