Job Summary:

The Faculty of Engineering and Computing at Liwa College is inviting applicants for the position of Assistant/Associate Professor in Mechanical Engineering. The successful candidate is expected to start in September 2025 on the Abu Dhabi campus.

Selected candidates will teach both theoretical and practical courses. The candidate must be highly self-motivated to achieve the mission of the Faculty of Engineering and Computing.

The successful candidates will:

• Participate in teaching theoretical and practical courses in his/her specialization.
• Provide academic advising to students.
• Perform college, community, and professional service.
• Assist in the continued development and promotion of the Program.

Competencies:

Candidates must possess a notable track record of scholarship and teaching at the undergraduate level. The successful candidate should show great research potential with promising working papers on track to publication in Scopus-indexed journals. Existing publications in top-tier journals are a plus. The ability to use Artificial Intelligence applications in teaching is an advantage.

Requirements:

Minimum qualifications include:

• A Ph.D. holder of Mechanical Engineering degree from a reputable University.
• Fluency in spoken and written Arabic and English
• A minimum of two years teaching experience in an institution of higher learning.
