Assistant, Associate Professor

The Mohammed Bin Rashid School for Communication (MBRSC), the first of its kind in the Arabian Gulf region at the American University in Dubai, invites qualified applicants for the position of Assistant/Associate Professor of Journalism and Communication to begin teaching in Fall 2025.
The School invites qualified applicants for the full-time opening to teach multimedia journalism and public relations. Candidates should have solid teaching credentials and/or professional experience in converged journalism across a variety of platforms. Responsibilities will include teaching basic and advanced courses in English in an evolving journalism/communication curriculum.
MBRSC presently offers a Bachelor of Communication and Information Studies degree with majors in Journalism/Digital Production and Storytelling, and a Master of Art in Leadership and Innovation in Contemporary Media.
The successful candidate should have:

• Doctorate or a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in the discipline from a Western accredited institution at the time of appointment
• Extensive professional experience in Journalism/Communication
• Strong research record and/or professional experience in Journalism/Public Relations
• Excellent English written and oral communication skills
• Ability to be an active team player and a contributor to the continuous improvement in the Mohammed Bin Rashid School for Communication
