Missions
The successful candidate will work at the heart of our Video Business unit and will report directly to the Head of Asset Management and Sales Engineering.
The Asset Manager and Solution Architect will have a central role in building a commercial solution meeting Eutelsat customer needs, including designing custom-tailored technical and operational solutions, and optimizing the exploitation of Eutelsat capacity assets.
She/He will be based in Dubai to follow in particular the development of MENA video commercial activities, and will be in charge of the following activities:
- Translate the customer needs into the design of an overall solution covering the space segment optimization, the service architecture, and the ground infrastructure, and prepare the associated technical proposal in coordination with the Planning team and the Department of Exploitation and internal/external suppliers.
- Understand customer needs, then match customer requirements with Eutelsat products portfolio, or design custom-tailored solutions.
- Work with the Sales Managers and Regional Directors on commercial proposals and technical studies.
- Design the technical response to RFPs/RFIs and be part of the strategy definition with the sales team.
- For opportunities converted into contracts, ensure the ground services prices are coherent with the rate-card and the suitability of relevant contractual packages by appropriate coordination; ensure that the technical staff receive all information for timely implementation of services.
- Identify and assign capacity for new opportunities and for contract renewals.
- Optimize the resources allocation within Eutelsat fleet, including preparing and coordinating transfer plans within transponders and between transponders and satellites to create additional availability for Full Time and Occasional Use services.
- Provide support for the preparation of standard proposals forms, including appropriate elements of corporate presentation and services.
- Demonstrate and present Eutelsat solutions/products at customer premises/during ad hoc meetings upon Sales Managers request.
- Provide assistance, whenever required, for the definition of products and products packaging and their implementation.
Profile & Experience
- Five years of relevant experience, including at least three years of experience in satellite communications.
- Master's degree in Telecommunication or Satellite Engineering.
- Good knowledge of satellite communications.
- Knowledge of broadcast video distribution technologies.
- Strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to pro-actively engage with all stakeholders involved in the sales cycle.
- Willingness and ability to travel whenever required.
- Proficiency in English and Arabic.
