Area Service Manager

Valmet Flow Control business line delivers mission-critical flow control technologies and services for the continuously evolving needs of various process industries. We help our customers to improve their process performance and environmental efficiency, and to ensure the safe flow of materials.

We are looking for an Area Service Manager for the United Arab Emirates and Oman region responsible for all daily after-sales service needs (claims, warranty, product training, commissioning, start-up, troubleshooting, technical support, customer demonstrations, proactive shutdown sales, upgradation/modernization of controllers) in cooperation with our local sales agent, authorized service partners (ASP's) and other Valmet flow control offices.

In this position, you will report to the Country Manager, UAE & Oman and you will be based in Ruwais or Abu Dhabi, UAE.

In practice, this means going to the sites and serving customers in any valve-related issues. In addition, you will support local partners and customers in service-related matters with speedy and high-quality communication both in technical queries and commercial offers, as well as creating sales opportunities through Life Cycle Service Plans and shutdown planning.

Your Activities

• Manage the complete scope of shutdown services at the designated region.
• Travel to customer sites to present solutions and maintenance recommendations, resolve technical issues in a timely manner, and close orders.
• Generate leads from service opportunities.
• Prepare roadmaps for future maintenance based on the shutdown funnel and installed base.
• Manage and update the installed base information for key accounts regularly in the Installed Base tool.
• Promote predictive diagnostics solutions.
• Develop Authorized Service Partners for key accounts in the respective region.
• Conduct product training sessions at distributors or customer sites.
• Conduct product presentations/demos and participate in customer events and exhibitions to promote the product and service portfolio.
• Review customer RFQs and POs, ensure timely responses and high-quality execution.
• Represent the company in a professional and ethical manner.
• Demonstrate high-level HSE mindset and knowledge about HSE procedures and practices, applying this knowledge as a part of daily work routine.

What you will need to be successful in the role:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• Minimum eight years of sales/service experience and/or proven successful track record serving the flow control market, focusing on valves and pneumatic components in process industries.
• Good communication skills and fluency in English written and spoken. Arabic considered as an advantage.
• Self-driven, team player mentality and ability to work cross-functionally.
• Willingness to travel in UAE and to Oman (about 50% of your working time).
• Proficiency with MSO programs.
• Reporting skills.
