Job Profile: Area Sales Manager – UAE

Job Summary:
The Area Sales Manager will play a pivotal role in driving sales through channel partners within the trade sector in the UAE. This position involves setting and achieving sales targets for a designated territory while managing commercial business objectives. The successful candidate will develop and execute communication strategies to enhance relationships with trade partners and manage the operational requirements of the market. Key responsibilities include presenting to key accounts, exploring new distribution channels, and implementing market-driven actions. The role also encompasses driving product promotions, managing brand presence, and maintaining high merchandising standards. Additionally, the Area Sales Manager will develop and implement sales projects aimed at customer acquisition, branding, and point-of-sale communication across all channels. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong relationship-building skills and a deep understanding of the trade market in the UAE.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement Sales Strategies: Formulate and execute sales strategies to meet monthly targets and drive business growth. Ensure sales activities align with company objectives.
- Sell-in and Sell-out Management: Oversee both sell-in and sell-out processes, collaborating with channel partners to maintain optimal inventory levels and effective merchandising.
- New Customer Development: Identify and engage potential customers, building relationships to increase market share and ensure effective onboarding and support.
- Channel Partner Selection: Evaluate and select channel partners for distribution, monitoring performance and providing necessary support to drive sales.
- Business Development: Seek opportunities for growth and expansion within the region by segment and category.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitor activities, using insights to develop targeted sales strategies.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to channel partners and customers, ensuring they have the tools and resources to effectively sell and promote products.
- Sales Forecasting and Reporting: Monitor sales performance, analyze data, and prepare reports. Provide accurate forecasts to support product availability and decision-making.
- Territory Management: Manage the assigned territory, including regular travel to meet customers, and ensure strong brand representation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in sales and business development within the trade/professional channel, preferably in the tools, hardware, or paint industry.
- Strong knowledge of the UAE market, including key players, distribution channels, and customer preferences.
- Expertise in sell-in and sell-out management, with a track record of meeting sales targets.
- Experience in project sales and collaboration with project managers and contractors.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a history of exceeding sales targets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
