About the Company - A leading FMCG principal company is seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to oversee sales operations across Abu Dhabi & Al Ain. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing distributors, driving sales growth across all channels and executing strategic sales initiatives to expand market presence.

About the Role

  1. Sales & Distribution Management:
    1. Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve regional targets.
    2. Manage distributor relationships, ensuring effective supply chain operations and market coverage.
    3. Monitor distributor performance and optimize route-to-market strategies.
  2. Business Development & Customer Relationships:
    1. Identify growth opportunities and expand the brand's presence across key channels.
    2. Strengthen relationships with key retailers, wholesalers, and Horeca clients.
    3. Negotiate contracts and commercial terms to maximize profitability.
  3. Team Leadership & Performance Monitoring:
    1. Lead and mentor a team of sales executives & merchandisers.
    2. Provide training and guidance to enhance team productivity and effectiveness.
    3. Set KPIs, monitor performance, and ensure targets are consistently met.
  4. Market Insights & Brand Visibility:
    1. Conduct market analysis to track competitor activity and identify emerging trends.
    2. Implement trade promotions, activations, and merchandising strategies to enhance brand visibility.
    3. Ensure product availability and optimal shelf presence across key retail outlets.

Qualifications

  1. Minimum 3+ years of experience managing distributors in the FMCG sector.
  2. Strong understanding of the Abu Dhabi & Al Ain market dynamics.
  3. Proven track record of achieving sales targets and expanding market share.
  4. Experience in handling multiple sales channels (Modern Trade, General Trade, Horeca).
  5. Excellent negotiation, leadership, and communication skills.
  6. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
