We are hiring an Area Business Manager for the Gulf Region. This role will drive patient identification and market development for Alzheimer's Disease by creating territory account and customer strategies to achieve area sales market share and profit targets for their territory.
The candidate will effectively identify, develop, and maintain relationships with physicians and centers to properly educate on Alzheimer's Disease and help remove barriers to facilitate healthcare provider decisions. Furthermore, they will effectively develop collaborative relationships and communicate information across many different internal/external stakeholders to drive alignment on decisions and help remove barriers to access. Those activities will be handled by utilizing strategic selling principles where appropriate in compliance with Regulations, Rules, and Biogen Compliance Policies for optimizing our products' value for our patients and healthcare professionals (HCP). Where needed, the sales representative may be tasked to support marketing/commercial in the development of commercial programs and seeing to the operational execution in the field. Accountable for achieving and exceeding the sales goals.
Achieving commercial goals: Works toward achievement of sales goals and sales responsibility in respective territory set by the organization whilst maintaining expenditure at set levels. Able to effectively prioritize time and execute field tactics and programs for his territory in line with set plans and goals activities and resources to optimize accounts with the most sales potential. Builds and maintains important relationships with key decision makers involved in AD treatment and can educate and promote Biogen services (as relevant to the market). Develops and executes effective activities such as local peer-to-peer explanatory meetings and other education programs in the territory and across the territories to develop KMEs. Develops and executes an annual territory business plan that includes prioritized account goals quantitative and qualitative approach needed to ensure Biogen success in its ALZ sales objectives. Drive market development for Alzheimer's Disease by building and executing against a territory strategy and account specific plans. Demonstrate consistent superior business management skills and innovation while continuously appraising sales opportunities within accounts to maintain and grow their business. Sets their own call plan on a daily/weekly basis to ensure adequate coverage for all key accounts. Provide information to management to help with identifying, segmenting, profiling, and defining national key accounts e.g. Hospitals, memory clinics, purchase groups & guideline providers. Provide key customer/KME insights from the field to enable the development of strong integrated customer engagement plans. Builds and maintains relationships with HCPs by maximizing their time through pre-call planning, leveraging insights to tailor call plan, and conducts post-call analysis to continually refine and enhance their approach.
Leveraging and coordinating resources: Takes lead role in mobilizing resources in support of customer needs; Uses resources in a smart and impactful way; Digs beneath the surface and seeks resources that address the core of an issue; Aligns with other Customer Facing positions in overlapping territories; Collaborates with internal teams and cross-functional partners to advance programs and initiatives. Proactively builds effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders; can drive agreement/decisions from multiple stakeholders can adjust their approach based on different stakeholder needs, concerns or audience member to drive alignment and meet their work goals. Executes programs. Assists treatment centers and diagnosis centers to build referral networks by planning programs (i.e. peer-to-peer programs, developing speaker programs).
Maintaining best in class knowledge: Demonstrates industry-leading understanding of disease state products (BIIB and competition), clinical practices, market dynamics, and healthcare systems; Proactively seeks external opportunities for learning including conferences, seminars, and professional associations.
Participates actively in training to acquire and advance knowledge: Displays a high level of disease and product knowledge. Fully understands and is conversant in communicating the relevant technical data. Understand key strategic brand/ICP objectives and work in collaboration with the Franchise Lead in the development of local programs. Acts as an ambassador for Biogen's commitment to science and innovation.
Conducting administrative follow-through: Keeps timely documentation (e.g. expense reports, compliance related CRM system) and provides inputs required for planning and coordination. Ensure Performance of Frequency of sales calls on designated customers in the territory; operates in the professional selling approach. Understands and adheres to all local and global compliance standards. Consistently meets the standards across a majority of the functional and leadership competency sales success profiles.
