Architecture and Civil Draughtsman

Job Responsibilities

• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop detailed architectural and civil drawings, plans, and designs.
• Prepare accurate and comprehensive drawings for various stages of projects, including conceptual design, schematic design, design development, and construction documentation.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and standards governing architectural and civil construction in the GCC region.
• Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software proficiently to create and modify drawings, incorporating changes as required throughout the design process.
• Coordinate with project teams to integrate architectural and civil drawings with other disciplines, such as structural, mechanical, and electrical systems.
• Conduct site visits and surveys as needed to gather information and verify dimensions for drafting purposes.
• Review and analyze architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and other documentation to identify potential conflicts or discrepancies.
• Provide support during the construction phase by producing as-built drawings and responding to requests for information (RFIs) from contractors.
• Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, and project documentation in accordance with company standards.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in architectural and civil drafting.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in architectural and civil drafting, with a focus on projects in the GCC region.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant CAD software.
• Strong understanding of architectural and civil construction principles, techniques, and materials.
• Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and permitting processes in the GCC countries.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to producing accurate and high-quality drawings.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work efficiently under tight deadlines.
• Experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling) software is a plus.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic is preferred but not required.
