We are looking for an Architectural Inspector to join our supervision team for a project based in Dubai.

Your new role, what's involved

  1. Conduct thorough inspections of architectural elements, including building facades, finishes, interior layouts, roofing systems, partitions, and other architectural components. Ensure compliance with approved architectural drawings, specifications, and relevant building codes.
  2. Ensure construction activities and materials align with architectural design intent, project requirements, industry standards, and best practices. Monitor and report on the quality of finishes, materials, and workmanship in architectural elements.
  3. Verify that construction aligns with architectural plans, permits, and regulations. Identify and address any design deviations, non-compliance, or material inconsistencies, and recommend corrective actions to maintain aesthetic, functional, and safety standards.
  4. Prepare detailed inspection reports, documenting findings, observations, and any issues related to architectural finishes and building aesthetics. Maintain comprehensive records, including photographs and technical documentation for project reference.
  5. Coordinate with project managers, architects, structural engineers, MEP teams, and contractors to ensure smooth integration of architectural components with structural and mechanical systems. Provide technical expertise and design recommendations as needed.
  6. Identify and troubleshoot architectural challenges, offering practical solutions to maintain design integrity, functionality, and construction quality.
  7. Monitor and enforce compliance with safety regulations, ensuring that architectural elements contribute to a safe and well-designed environment. Address any safety concerns related to finishes, materials, and accessibility standards.
  8. Stay updated on advancements in architectural design, materials, sustainability practices, and building regulations. Contribute to the continuous improvement of architectural inspection methodologies and construction processes.

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  1. Education: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
  2. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in Architectural inspections, preferably in building construction projects. Familiarity with various construction methods, materials, and related codes and standards is essential.
  3. Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail to identify and assess construction deficiencies, deviations, and non-compliance. Ability to conduct precise and accurate measurements and inspections.
  4. Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills to convey inspection findings, recommendations, and observations clearly and professionally. Ability to collaborate and coordinate with diverse stakeholders.
  5. Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify issues, propose practical solutions, and make informed decisions promptly.
  6. Safety Focus: Knowledge of construction safety regulations and best practices. Familiarity with occupational health and safety protocols and procedures.
  7. Time Management: Ability to prioritize and manage multiple inspections, meet deadlines, and work efficiently under time constraints.
  8. Team Player: Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Ability to build positive relationships with contractors, project stakeholders, and team members.
