Architect – Engineering and Shop Drawings Production (in Al-Ain UAE)

• Supervise and lead the main contractor's engineering and shop drawings production team.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications and consultant directions.

Conduct coordination meetings with the Client/Engineer to discuss and resolve issues related to performance and maintenance of the engineering production.

• Guide the coordination and detail documentation such as drawing, in line with conceived design.
• Receive technical requirements from the site teams and evaluate that all the relevant information is available for the development of the appropriate engineering solution and deliverables.
• Attend construction meetings with the project site team to discuss and resolve structural issues related to the execution of works.
• Generate the final architectural details & GA's drawings of the project in order to present them to Consultants and subcontractors for obtaining timely approval.
• Assign documentation work and monitor architectural team in order to provide engineering designs to meet project schedule.
• Identify the work items that will affect the execution of works and advise the project site team to officially record those events for future claims.
• Support & update the site team on the progress with respect to the engineering & detailing aspects of the project in order to remain within the financial budgets and to meet deadlines.
• Provide consistent and constructible details in accordance with the contract document.
• Coordinate between engineers and consultants on the details of the project and work environment in order to ensure correct and relevant drawings are received and referred to.
• Review the specifications and particulars of project in progress and raise specific queries to the consultants in order to ensure the progress as per the concepts and plans.
• Distribute all technical-related project documents (in and/or out) to the relevant Engineering team members and involved stakeholders, ensuring timely and coordinated actions.
• Coordinate with materials suppliers & Procurement department (HO) in order to adhere to the budget and time schedule.
• Contribute to the completion documentation preparation activities and manage the complete process of project close-out documentation in line with the Contract, ensuring comprehensive and timely submission of all final documents required for project handover.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Degree in Architecture Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with Main Contractors Engineering production is mandatory.
• 8-15 years of relevant experience in a contracting company.
• Proven experience in leading engineering production.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Experience in the UAE construction industry.
