Job Description
We are currently seeking passionate and dynamic Architecture and Design professionals who pride themselves on their ability to deliver extraordinary levels of service and provide creative solutions.
As an Architect, your responsibilities include providing technical support and professional advice to both internal and external parties regarding hotel designs, technical details, coordination, site interventions, and visits. You will also be required to provide and review technical drawings for specific areas within a hotel project and operate technical software for problem-solving. Additionally, you are expected to compile weekly and monthly updates and reports for the Corporate Director - Architecture and Design.
Your role will include key responsibilities such as:
- Review architectural drawings of hotel projects to ensure integration of technical requirements and Rotana brand standards.
- Provide information or advice on design, structure, specifications, materials, colours, equipment, etc.
- Consult with the Architecture & Design team, clients, and project managers/consultants to determine functional and spatial requirements.
- Liaise with Project Consultants, Architects, and Interior Designers to ensure adherence to design briefs and Rotana guidelines.
- Coordinate with internal teams to integrate kitchen, laundry, engineering, and other requirements into a unified design.
- Review and prepare drawings to clarify design intents, directions, enhancements, and suggestions.
- Attend meetings to review design proposals, submissions, and project presentations.
- Participate in mock-up room inspections and facilitate inspection reports.
- Assist in periodic site meetings to monitor compliance with design parameters, Rotana standards, and approved drawings.
- Prepare project updates and reports for submission to the CVP Architecture & Design and/or Director of Design.
- Utilize software such as AutoCAD, Photoshop, Office, and other design/presentation tools.
- Ensure knowledge and compliance with laws, local codes, tourism authority requirements, and local authority regulations.
Skills
Education, Qualifications & Experiences
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in architectural design, including project management skills.
- Proven experience in working with internal multi-disciplinary teams; experience in developing hospitality projects is advantageous.
- Extensive working knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Photoshop, and any related design and presentation software.
- Ability to travel as required.
- Proficiency in English; fluency in Arabic is a plus.
