Aldar Education is currently seeking an outstanding Teacher of Arabic First Language at Mamoura British Academy in Abu Dhabi commencing in the 2025-2026 academic year.

Roles and responsibilities include:
- Teamwork and collaboration

- Liaising with colleagues professionally and working flexibly

- Collaborating with curriculum support staff (where applicable) to support student development
- Acting as a form tutor and supporting the pastoral needs of students.
Teaching and Learning:
- Clear understanding of the MoE curriculum for all year groups
- Organising classroom provision learning resources and creating displays to encourage a positive and engaging learning environment
- Planning, preparing, and presenting sessions that cater to the needs of the whole ability range within the classes taught
- Motivating pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative teaching
- Observing and assessing children in line with the school assessment policy
- Being reflective of the classroom provision, sessions taught, progress made, and adjusting environment, planning, and curriculum to reflect this
- Ensuring the Mamoura British Academy Teacher and Learner DNA language and attitudes are embedded throughout the curriculum.
Assessment and Data:
- Taking responsibility for the progress of classes taught
- Meeting requirements for the assessment and recording of students’ development using the school-designated assessment system
- Using data provided by assessments to influence further planning, provision, and intervention
- Providing feedback to parents and carers on a student’s progress at Parent Teacher Conferences and other meetings.
Behavior Management and Duties:
- Following the school’s Behaviour Policy
- Managing classes effectively, using approaches that are appropriate to students’ needs to inspire, motivate, and challenge pupils
- Maintaining excellent relationships with pupils, exercising appropriate authority, and acting decisively when necessary within the school’s Behaviour Policy
- Being a positive role model and consistently demonstrating the positive attitudes, values, and behavior expected of pupils
- Having high expectations of behavior, promoting self-control and independence of all learners
- Ensuring the Mamoura Values DNA language and attitudes are embedded throughout the curriculum
- Carrying out duties as directed and within the school’s policy.
Wider Professional Responsibilities:
- Working as part of a department team, supporting planning, assessment, resources, and special events linked to that team
- Supporting the organization and participation in school events, outings, and activities, which may take place at weekends or in the evening
- Communicating effectively with parents/carers about students’ achievements and well-being using school systems/processes such as CPOMS as appropriate
- Making a positive contribution to the wider life and ethos of the school
- Running a weekly ECA each term.
Additional requirements for this role:
Minimum Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Education or a Bachelor's Degree in a related subject with PGCE or equivalent.
Minimum Experience:
- Minimum 2 years’ teaching experience in the English National Curriculum

- Outstanding teacher
- Teaching across the age ability range with proven success, ideally with approval for Cycle 2 and Cycle 3
- Experience working in more than one International School is desirable
- Experience teaching the MoE Curriculum
