APPOINTED PERSON/ LIFTING ENGINEER

We are looking for an Appointed person who can do the following but not limited to:

• Conducting thorough assessments of lifting operations, ensuring all risks are identified.
• Developing detailed lift plans, including load weights, equipment, and method statements.
• Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards.
• Ensuring that lifting equipment is regularly inspected and maintained for safe use.
• Coordinating the calibration and certification of lifting devices.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Education:
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (3 years) or equivalent qualification.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in oil & gas lifting operations, with at least 5 years in a similar position overseeing lifting operations.
• Experience in both offshore and onshore lifting operations, with expertise in critical lifts.
• Technical Skills:
• In-depth understanding of lifting engineering practices, with proficiency in selecting lifting equipment and accessories.
• Ability to write detailed lifting plans, supervise complex lifting operations, and ensure the safe execution of tasks in compliance with international and ADNOC standards.
• Familiarity with international standards related to lifting operations, such as LOLER (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations) and API standards.
• Experience in Change Management and the ability to adapt lifting plans to changes in conditions or requirements.
• Training & Certifications:
• Must have completed the Appointed Person 4-day training course by an ADNOC Group-approved training provider, and be reassessed every 3 years as per ADNOC’s standard requirement.
• Must be trained and certified for the specific type of crane operations (i.e., Offshore or Mobile Crane operations), and must have completed training tailored to offshore or mobile crane appointed person requirements.
