Application Technical Support
Job description
- Act as a focal point of contact for the End User issues/requests/incident.
- Monitor systems are fully operational, and any loss of service is restored in a timely and efficient manner.
- Problem determination, workaround resolution, root cause analysis, major incident management.
- Liaise with application vendor to help resolve incidents and any requests.
- Perform all related routine tasks assigned by team leads/manager such as Daily reports, weekly reports, and monthly reports.
- Regularly updating database security and enhancing database systems performance and efficiency.
- Should be able to wirte SQL queries e.g MSSQL, MySQL Should have a good knowledge of system and network administration Academic Requirements: ·
- A Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or similar.
- Demonstrable experience as an Application Support Engineer in a related field.
- Having good knowledge of programming languages such as SQL Server and databases is an advantage.
- Good Knowledge of working on Windows server and client operating system is an advantage.
- Ability to document configuration changes and monitor performance.
- Exceptional ability to provide end user support.
- Advanced proficiency in determining the causes of application errors and repairing them.
- Familiarity with ITIL service management life cycle.
- Any IT related certification will be added advantage
- Exceptional communication skills.
Experience: 3 to 5 years Academic Requirements:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or similar.
