Application Engineer

Advantech is currently looking for an experienced Industrial IoT Application Engineer (AE) in Dubai:

The AE bridges technical communication between customers and the company, providing product training, dealing with application problems, and offering technical support, collaborating with various departments to solve issues.

Reporting of the role:

This role reports to the Head of IIoT AE/FAE (Advantech Taiwan).

Responsibilities of the role:

• Provide engineering support to direct sales, channel partners and customers.
• Assist business development and sales teams in creating customer-specific solutions. This includes (but is not limited to) pre-sales and post-sales technical assessments, feasibility testing, technical response to customer bids, RMA verification and on-site technical training.
• Work closely with R&D, Product Management and Quality teams as necessary to resolve any technical issues that arise from the field.
• Liaise with customers to understand their requirements and provide technical specifications consultation of products to fulfill the requirements.
• Create a demonstration kit inclusive of sales tools, development program and interactive presentations for business use.
• Any ad hoc tasks assigned to you by management from time to time.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or above in Computer Science/Information Technology, Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent.
• At least two years experience in technical support and after-sales services.
• Passionate, meticulous and tech-savvy.
• Knowledge of Touch Panel, PC-based and SCADA software programming will be valued.
• Enthusiastic in learning new technology and strong commitment to customer service.
• Analytical, self-motivated and a good team player.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Required language(s): English in both speaking and writing.
