Job description

To provide specialist support to the ANS Risk & Compliance Manager in establishing and maintaining effective ANS Risk and Compliance Management processes which ensure that all GANS and relevant Customer operations are conducted in accordance with all applicable GCAA Regulatory and Risk Management requirements.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide the ANS Risk & Compliance Manager and Deputy Manager with ANS specialist support in relation to the development and communication of the ANS Risk Management and Compliance assurance plan across GANS and its contracts to ensure legal and regulatory compliance, effective risk management and adherence to GCAA Regulatory and all other applicable requirements.
  • Provide ANS specialist support to the ANS Risk & Compliance management team to ensure that the GANS Risk Management Plans and Procedures enable hazard identification, analysis, mitigation, and communication across all relevant stakeholders, from departments to GANS, Group and customer leadership.
  • Provide specialist support in the development and delivery (using the web-based platform EdApp) of risk and compliance management training as may be required.
  • Provide specialist support to the ANS R&C Manager in conducting first-party audits and inspections to ensure regulatory compliance with GCAA requirements applicable to services provided by GANS. Provide specialist support during any relevant second-party ANS audits or inspections against GANS (while working in close collaboration with the ANS IMS and ANS SMS Departments). Provide specialist support to the GCAA ADA ANS "Quality Post Holder" during third-party audits related to GCAA ADA ANS and Al Ain Training Centre certifications (including ICAO RCE, ACTVET, and ELP-TO) as well as any other ANS third party Audits that are not covered under the remit of the ANS IMS Department. Provide specialist support as and when required by the ANS R&C Manager during first-, second-, and third-party audits managed under the remit of the ANS IMS Department. Support the ANS R&C Manager in communicating to relevant stakeholders information on identified non-conformances for them to become aware of the need to undertake any relevant corrective and preventive actions.
  • Provide specialist support to the ANS R&C Manager in implementing the Management of Change (MOC) process where applicable as well as in the provision of oversight to ensure that the MOC process is implemented by all relevant internal stakeholders.
  • Provide specialist support to the ANS Risk and Compliance Management Team in maintaining and reviewing all aspects of the ANS Risk and Compliance Department IMS-Performance Tracker.
  • Provide specialist support to the ANS R&C Management Team in preparing internal and external Risk Management and Compliance oversight and assurance reports as required by customers, government entities, GANS, and Group. Collate Risk Register information contained in Unit/Departmental IMS Performance Trackers to develop Risk Management Reports for submission to management and Customers as required.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma / certificate in related area required (i.e. Aviation, Quality, Compliance or Risk Management).
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related area preferred (i.e. Aviation, Quality, Compliance or Risk Management).

Professional Certifications:

  • Auditor qualification covering one of the relevant disciplines preferred.
  • ATC Licence with an Aerodrome Control and/or Approach Control rating preferred.
  • Recognised industry-specific Training in IMS or QMS preferred.
  • Risk management certification preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a role responsible for the management of the Company Quality, Compliance or Risk Management functions or 3 years of similar experience working within an Aviation organisation (ANSP preferred).

Special Technical Skills & Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of IMS, QM, CM and RM.
  • Knowledge of the ICAO Annexes, SARPS and the ANS Regulatory framework.
  • Auditing and technical report writing skills.
  • Training Delivery.
  • IMS documentation development.
  • Enterprise wide risk assessment and management.
  • Continual Performance Improvement.
  • Effective verbal and written English language communication skills (ICAO Level 4 or equivalent level of English language proficiency).
