Animator / Editor

The Animator/Editor will be responsible for creating high-quality animations and editing video content that supports the organisation's brand objectives. This role involves executing animations, motion graphics, and video edits for promotional campaigns, social media, events, and internal communications.

Job Description:

Animation and Motion Graphics Creation

1. Develop visually engaging motion graphics and animations that elevate the organisation's storytelling across digital, social media, and other communication platforms.
2. Create animated elements, including infographics, transitions, lower-thirds, and titles, to enhance video content and presentations.
3. Collaborate on design concepts, producing storyboards and style frames that align with the organisation's brand standards and messaging.

Video Editing

1. Edit video content for various formats, including corporate videos, social media clips, interviews, and promotional videos, ensuring quality and cohesion with brand guidelines.
2. Integrate sound, color grading, and other post-production elements to create polished and dynamic final products.
3. Collaborate with the creative team to ensure visual and audio consistency across multiple projects.

Content Adaptation and Optimization

1. Adapt animations and videos for different platforms and aspect ratios (e.g., 16:9, 9:16, 1:1), optimizing for social media and digital channels.
2. Work closely with the Motion Graphics Designer and Senior Videographer to ensure that content meets technical specifications and quality standards across all outputs.
3. Update existing video and animation content as needed, ensuring it aligns with brand messaging and remains relevant.

Cross-functional Collaboration and Feedback Integration

1. Work closely with the Creative Director, Art Director, and marketing team to understand project goals and refine visual messaging.
2. Participate in creative brainstorming sessions, providing input and new ideas for motion-based content.
3. Incorporate feedback and revisions efficiently, maintaining a proactive and solution-oriented approach to editing and animation tasks.

Qualifications and Skills

1. Bachelor's degree in Animation, Digital Media, Film Production, Graphic Design, or a related field.
2. 3+ years of experience as an animator and video editor, with a portfolio demonstrating expertise in both motion graphics and video editing.
3. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop) and other industry-standard animation and video editing tools.
4. Strong storytelling and visual composition skills, with a keen eye for detail, pacing, and rhythm.
5. Experience in 2D animation and motion graphics; 3D animation skills are a plus.
6. Knowledge of color grading, sound design, and other essential post-production techniques.
7. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines.
