Anesthesia Technician

• Prepare and maintain anesthesia equipment, ensuring that all devices are functioning correctly before each surgical procedure.
• Assist anesthesiologists during the administration of anesthesia, providing real-time support and monitoring patient responses.
• Maintain a sterile environment by adhering to infection control protocols and ensuring all equipment is properly sanitized.
• Monitor and document patient vital signs and anesthesia levels throughout procedures, alerting the anesthesiologist to any concerns.
• Participate in the setup and breakdown of the operating room, ensuring all supplies are stocked and readily available.
• Conduct regular inventory checks of anesthesia supplies and medications, placing orders to maintain optimal stock levels.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols related to anesthesia practices and equipment usage.
• Provide support during emergency situations, including the ability to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions swiftly.
• Engage in ongoing education and training to stay current with advancements in anesthesia technology and practices.

Desired Candidate Profile

• A minimum of an Associate's degree in anesthesia technology or a related field is required for this role.
• Certification as an Anesthesia Technician (Cer.A.T.) or equivalent is preferred to validate expertise.
• Previous experience in a clinical setting, particularly in surgical or anesthesia units, is highly desirable.
• A working knowledge of anesthesia equipment, monitoring devices, and their maintenance is essential.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment are critical.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective collaboration with medical staff.
