Job description

Job Purpose:

Provide analytical and operational activities to monitor and enhance trading control processes, in compliance with regulatory standards and promoting market integrity through detailed analysis and risk management.

Provision of Specialist Support

  • Contribute to the planning and organizing of the work for junior team members to support the timely achievement of unit objectives

in line with quality standards.

  • Provide on-the-job training and constructive feedback to assigned teams to support their overall development.
  • Promote the organization’s values and ethics in all activities within the team to support the establishment of a value-driven culture within the organization.
  • Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
  • Provide input and implement policies, systems, and procedures for the assigned team so that all relevant procedural requirements are fulfilled.

Trading Control Operations

  • Perform daily operational activities to ensure the readiness and effectiveness of the daily trading sessions.
  • Identify and address irregularities or anomalies in trading activities through comprehensive investigations, documenting findings, and efficient resolution of issues to mitigate their impact on ADX's operations.
  • Analyze trading activities, including new listings, trade corrections, and changes in indices, to ensure compliance with the Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) and Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) rules and regulations, while maintaining a comprehensive audit trail to uphold market integrity, transparency, and accountability.
  • Provide the necessary information to facilitate new Brokerage house onboarding and integration with the trading platform.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including providing guidance and clarification on trading control matters as necessary.
  • Prepare and produce reports timely and accurately to meet department requirements, policies, and quality standards.
  • Respond to broker trading inquiries promptly and effectively to meet their needs and concerns, thereby fostering strong relationships and trust within the trading community. Provide insights and suggestions to enhance current products to increase effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Participate in developing new products and services to drive market growth and innovation.

Continuous Improvement

  • Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction.

Risk and Business Continuity Management

  • Conduct all activities in a safe and environmentally responsible manner in compliance with internal policies and guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

Educational and Professional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Technology or Data Science or a related field.

Overall Experience:

  • Experience in the Securities / Stock Exchange, or within similar operations is preferred.
