The AMP Utilities Electrical Engineer will provide technical guidance on all electrical systems to include interior electric, exterior electric, fire alarms systems, electric distribution, alternative power systems, panels, associated real property motors, etc.
Essential Responsibilities:
The Contractor shall:
- Plan and develop projects for high and low voltage distribution, airfield lighting, fire alarms, and interior and exterior low voltage applications.
- Work with sub-AMP managers assigned to their area of responsibilities.
- Become familiar with BUILDER (or other functional management SMS GeoBase) status in conjunction with real property accounting listings.
- Make smart, fiscally-minded, logical, and sustainment-minded decisions using the “preventive maintenance - corrective maintenance – repair maintenance - replacement bell-curve” principle.
- Use BUILDER data to forecast and project future projects.
- Work between the shops, R&O and Engineering Flight to prioritize sustainment projects according to MDI, PoF, and Critical Component Effective Equipment.
- Conduct root cause analysis of failing systems, in order to accurately determine the scope of the projects.
- Coordinate and host a quarterly Sub-AMP Working Group, according to The Activity Management Process Operating Instruction.
- Complete all training required to be a Data Manager for the Air Force SMS, which is currently BUILDER.
- Perform Quality Assurance on all data entries performed by 380 ECES personnel, to ensure the accuracy of the entries.
- Complete design reviews for electrical projects, from the Operations Flight perspective, to ensure maintainability and repairability of completed projects.
Minimum Requirements:
The Utilities AMP Manager must be an electrical engineer. The AMP EE shall have knowledge of principles of engineering, planning, project programming, and ability to interpret plans and drawings. Additionally, the EE must be well versed in electrical distribution systems. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Preference will be given to individuals who have worked on US Government and Military domestic and international projects.
- Excellent communications, effective leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in AutoCAD 2016 or newer, and use AutoCAD to create presentable and accurate facility and infrastructure plans for concept and statement of work requirements for project execution.
- Computer literate; can use Microsoft Office and Project, etc.
- Additional knowledge/skills may be required by contract or assignment.
Perform other qualified duties as assigned.
