Scope

Effective coordination and execution of airfreight operations and pricing in line with the BDP standard procedure.

Responsibilities

1. Airfreight rate negotiation with airlines, GSA, etc.
2. Preparing quotations to the client including freight and insurance (if required) and follow-up.
3. Monitor and maintain data on quotations and win-loss ratio.
4. Keep track record for airline contract rates (validity/expiry).
5. Maintain healthy relations with Carrier, GSA, and partners.

Operation

1. Correct execution of airway bill, coordinating with the Ground Handling agent & Carriers for cargo acceptance and handover process.
2. Execution of customs clearance in accordance with UAE customs rules and regulations including customs inspection.
3. Coordinating with customer and dispatch team for cargo pickup.
4. Ensure proper packing & labeling of cargo according to carrier, commodity & destination requirements.
5. On-time creation of Job Costing Sheet once full delivery is done to finance for invoicing.
6. Alert and update the shipment details on BDP system.

Customer Service

1. Ensure on-time updates of cargo status to customers.
2. Understand customer’s requirements and instructions (i.e. DTC, DTD, description of goods, etc.).
3. Inform customers of the export clearance requirements prior to cargo pickup.
4. On-time invoicing of customers, 48 hours after cargo delivery.

Job Requirements

Qualifications / Experience

• 3 years experience in airfreight export operations with knowledge in E-mirsal, Calogi system, Dubai customs procedure, ground handling agent & carrier communication.

• College/University graduate.

• Computer literacy with Microsoft Software applications, MS Excel expertise.
