Job Opening: Advising and Student Success Coordinator

The American University in the Emirates is looking for an Advising and Student Success Coordinator to join its team. The Coordinator is responsible for providing AUE students with tutoring services to support their academic success and monitoring students facing academic challenges.

Qualifications & Education

1. Bachelor Degree in related field
2. Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience working in student-related department in a reputable university

Skills / Training / Knowledge

• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Ability to tactfully and politely deal with difficult customer situations
• Appreciation of cultural diversity
• Fluent in Arabic and English language skills

Job Responsibilities

• Provide students with tutoring services to support their academic success
• Ensure students' ongoing successful progress to completion of degree program
• Ensure timely follow-up with student inquiries
• Coordinate between students and academic advisors
• Orient new students to online tools, such as student portal
• Provide academic assistance and support to students
• Monitor students at academic risk, and enforce attending tutoring sessions
• Collect evidence for the activities supporting students
• Provide accurate information to students on academic policies and procedures, in areas of registration, study plan, academic probation, attendance, and advising
