The role holder is responsible for evaluating Computing & Storage infrastructure requests from Tiger Group stakeholders and designing and implementing solutions - including deployment of servers, storage, backup, archiving systems, and other infrastructure services. The role holder is also responsible for protecting and safeguarding TIGER GROUP's Infrastructure operations from internal and external threats, ensuring data integrity, and developing, monitoring, and maintaining the infrastructure capacity plans to meet the required levels of IT service as per business needs.
Core Responsibilities:
Ensures proper evaluation of infrastructure requests and manages the design and deployment of servers, operating systems (e.g., Windows, Suse Linux, etc.), server consolidation technology, database systems, storage, backup, archiving systems, and automated infrastructure services (Self-Service Portals, Automation, and Orchestrating tools, if any).
Directs the operations and maintenance of IT Infrastructure for cloud, servers, storage, data network, infrastructure, operating systems, desktop and end-user related systems, and Office automation systems.
Leads and ensures effective support for the roll-out of new releases of Operating Systems. Supports the planning of Disaster Recovery in case of system failure and ensures data recovery plans are reviewed periodically.
Participates in developing guidelines, policies, and procedures to ensure effective computing and storage operations.
Guides the development of Storage & Back-up strategies and technology in alignment with the overall IT strategy.
Designs, develops and implements storage, backup, and archiving systems for TIGER GROUP and its stores across multiple locations.
Reviews and approves the change request and ensures planning, scheduling, and implementation of Servers, Storage, and Backup Systems changes in the production environment.
Research and select external cloud solutions and services.
Perform tasks within a DevOps environment and work in an integrated working environment with software developers, supporting rapid infrastructure deployments.
Collaborate with IT teams to define and develop documented policies, procedures, and processes such as operational run books and system monitoring.
Manage Microsoft Azure, Amazon, and Google Cloud.
Self-Management:
Defines performance goals at the start of the year in discussion with the reporting manager and ensures that the goals are achieved during the course of the year.
Takes ownership of his/her learning agenda by identifying development needs in consultation with the manager and agreeing on the individual development plan which goes beyond just training and development.
Keeps abreast of professional developments, new techniques, and current issues through continued education and professional growth.
Educational Qualifications and Certificates:
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science/Information Technology/Computer Engineering discipline or equivalent.
Certification in Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) / Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL).
Requisite certification from MCSE, Azure & Amazon.
Experience:
A minimum of 6 - 8 years of relevant experience with at least 6 years in administration of IT Computing & Storage for a large construction / real estate organization.
