Job description

Project supervision, inspection, organization, coordination, per-commissioning, plant implementation, and field engineering.

Generic Skills: Executive Leadership & Supervision Skills, Interpersonal, and strong analytical and communication skills.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Developing the project planning and controlling.
  • Managing assigned individual contributors in various departments (Production, Installation, Operation, Maintenance, and Projects) to ensure the completion of work in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Review and utilize financial data to improve profitability. Prepare and control operational budgets and plan effective strategies for the finances of the projects.
  • Strategic input - Liaison with management. Assist in the development of strategic plans for operational activity. Additionally, implement and manage project operational plans.
  • Communication - Monitor, manage, and improve the efficiency of support services such as I.T., H.R., Accounts, and Finance. Facilitate coordination and communication between support functions.
  • Risk management - Oversee organizational policies. For example, ensure health and safety committee meetings are held and tasks assigned.
  • Planned, organized, and supported project management and status review meetings.
  • Provide strategic oversight, coordination, and maintenance of identified projects.
  • Manage day-to-day activities, analyze statistics, and read and write reports.
  • Ensure that project requirements are gathered and analyzed by the projects department. Responsible for defining the project management structure and overseeing teams of specialists.
  • Open to direction, collaborative work style, and commitment to getting the job done.
  • Ability to look at situations from several points of view.
  • Facilitate projects across operations that align with company goals.
  • Evaluate current systems and procedures for continuous improvement.
  • Continually update management regarding progress and areas in need of improvement.
  • Prepare periodic written reports for department managers regarding project status, keeping senior managers informed of project direction, and renegotiating direction as necessary.
  • Make presentations regarding project direction and recommendations to senior department/division managers.
  • Prepare and check the basis of design, specifications, technical bid evaluation, and drawings.
  • Mobilize goods and services to initiate activities, including drafting and work specifications.
  • Ensure proper documentation of standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure that operational objectives are measurable and specific.
  • Monitor events as determined in the Monitoring & Communication Plan and update the plan as required.
  • Provide the required leadership at various construction levels.
  • Identify, suggest, and implement corrective actions to improve quality.
  • Monitor key staff for the quality and timely execution of the project.
