Minimum of 2 years secretarial experience from a professional service company
Excellent working knowledge of MS Office Applications
Sound knowledge of office procedures
Working knowledge of record-keeping techniques
Fast typing speed in English
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Arabic language skills desirable but not essential
Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to build relationships with most senior executives
Good problem solving and decision-making skills

Primary Job Purpose:
Writing common forms of legal correspondence
Help prepare legal documents
Assist associates by using their thorough knowledge of how to file legal documents and, in some cases, courtroom procedures
Generate legal content used for communication between attorneys and their clients
Carry out tasks that require answering phones, running errands, coordinating meetings, and greeting visitors
Support senior members of a department and back up team leaders in the event of the team leader’s absence when necessary.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Familiar with legal terminology
Expected to perform typing and transcription of documentation as required by the associate/partner
Compose and type letters, memos, correspondence, reports, and other common forms of legal correspondence
Participate in the billing process, including matter opening and closure, enter monthly timesheets, send payment reminders to clients, and follow up on client billing queries
Participate in meetings and prepare minutes, amend routine legal documents and correspondence, as well as proofread when required
Expected to adhere to the Firm’s policies and procedures
Assist associates with filing of legal documents and, where required, with courtroom procedures
Coordinate meetings, answer phones, and greet visitors
