Position Description

Title: Adjunct Lecturer for Leadership and Innovation (Business)
Division: Murdoch University, Dubai
Reports to: The Dean & Discipline Lead

1. Overview and Objectives of the Position:

Lecturers at Murdoch University Dubai are responsible for delivering high-quality education to a diverse cohort of students. Responsibilities will include delivery of Cultures for Innovation to Undergraduate students, marking assignments, and supporting students in their work.

2. Key Result Areas:

Teaching and learning:

1. Prepare and deliver lectures, seminars, tutorials, and workshops and conduct student assessments.
2. Participate in moderation processes with the home campus Unit Coordinator.
3. Maintain knowledge of current pedagogical practice and learning theories.

3. Qualifications and Selection Criteria

Essential:

1. A PhD in Organizational Development, Cultural Change, Change Management, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, or Masters with at least 10 years of relevant industry experience in the field.
2. Demonstrated industry experience in the discipline or profession of at least 10 years, ideally in organizational development, cultural change, change management, human-centered design.
3. Knowledge: leadership and organizational behaviour, Human Centered Design & Innovation Entrepreneurship and innovation practices.
4. Demonstrated knowledge of innovation and contemporary teaching and learning approaches.
5. High levels of written and oral communication English language skills.
6. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team member in delivering teaching and learning outcomes.
7. University teaching experience is mandatory.
