Job Description

As an Account Executive, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and success by acquiring new customers and expanding existing accounts. You will be responsible for managing the entire sales process, from prospecting to closing, and will work with key internal teams and external partners to meet and exceed sales targets. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Prospecting & Pipeline Building:
    Develop and execute targeted outbound strategies to engage new prospects using a mix of email, LinkedIn, cold calling, and attending industry events. You will be responsible for generating high-quality leads and building a robust pipeline.
  • Consultative & Solution Selling:
    Leverage storytelling and consultative selling techniques to effectively communicate the value of our managed IT services and platforms. Tailor your pitch to the unique needs and pain points of different buyer personas, demonstrating how our solutions can address their business challenges.
  • Sales Execution:
    Own the full sales cycle, from initial contact to contract negotiation and closing. Work to drive new revenue through the acquisition of new logos as well as through expanding existing accounts.
  • Messaging & Engagement Optimization:
    Continuously test and refine messaging strategies. Monitor prospect engagement to determine the most effective approaches and iterate on them to increase response rates and conversion.
  • Data-Driven Sales Approach:
    Utilize CRM and sales analytics to track sales performance and key metrics, optimizing sales strategies and improving efficiency. You will use data to refine your outreach, adjust messaging tactics, and better engage with prospects.
  • Partner Collaboration:
    Collaborate with strategic channel and technology partners such as Microsoft, AWS, and cybersecurity firms to maximize sales opportunities and improve the value proposition to clients.
  • Quota Achievement:
    Consistently meet or exceed sales targets. Manage sales velocity and deal execution, ensuring all opportunities are maximized to achieve quarterly and annual goals.
  • Market Insights & Competitive Positioning:
    Stay informed about industry trends, competitive products, and customer needs. Leverage market insights to refine your approach and better position our offerings against the competition.

Desired Candidate Profile

We are looking for a results-oriented, highly motivated Account Executive who is comfortable in a fast-paced, startup environment and has the following qualifications:

  • Experience:
    Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in managed IT services, cloud solutions, or cybersecurity, with a proven ability to generate new business and close deals independently.
  • Startup Experience:
    Prior experience working in a startup environment is preferred, with the ability to adapt to dynamic and evolving sales processes.
  • Strong Prospecting & Lead Generation Skills:
    Proven success in prospecting and pipeline building, with the ability to independently generate, nurture, and convert leads into long-term clients.
  • SMB & Enterprise Sales Expertise:
    Experience selling to both SMB and Enterprise accounts, with a deep understanding of the differences in each market segment’s needs and challenges.
  • Complex Sales Cycles:
    Ability to navigate and close complex sales cycles, engaging with multiple stakeholders, decision-makers, and influencers at different levels within an organization.
  • Creative Problem-Solver:
    A highly creative problem solver who can think on their feet and is not afraid to test new engagement strategies and adapt tactics based on results and insights.
  • Process-Oriented & Analytical:
    Comfortable using data to inform decision-making and continuously optimize sales strategies. Must be proficient in using CRM systems, sales engagement tools, and data analytics.
  • Excellent Communication & Negotiation Skills:
    Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively negotiate, present, and close deals. You should be comfortable presenting to C-level executives and decision-makers.
  • Value-Driven Sales Approach:
    A consultative, solution-selling mindset with the ability to build value for customers while driving profitable outcomes for the business.
